DPM-3D: Dynamic Plant Model in 3D

Watch the video

DPM-3D is an immersive multiplayer environment that is integrated with a physics-driven Dynamic Plant Model (DPM). DPM-3D supports thousands of dynamic and interactive objects including: switches, gauges, valves, indicator lights, as well as ambient and directional sounds of specific equipment (e.g. pumps, filters, generators, alarms). Every time a team member interacts with the equipment a message is sent from our immersive 3D environment to the existing Dynamic Plant Model. The DPM then processes how the real system would respond, and sends the resulting data back to the 3D scene – updating the gauges and indicator lights in real-time.

OV3D:
Operational Views
in 3D

Watch the video

OV3D, or Operational Views in 3D, is a prototype software application that uses 3D software technology to rapidly visualize existing architectural data. OV3D makes architectural data comprehensible to senior decision-makers, using visual communication.
OV3D enables users to author presentations that display the results of OV5 analyses from an OV1 point of view. The 3D interface provides a clear view of theater-level operations that is easy to understand.

3Dnerve:
Task-based Simulation Learning

Watch the video

3Dnerve is a Task-based simulation engine specifically designed to develop interactive hands-on training applications that are: SCORM 1.2 compliant, Distributed Learning Level 4 Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) courseware from a 1st person point of view, with connectivity to existing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Level 4 IMI is simulation-based learning – the most advanced form of such instruction and is used in all courseware developed using any of 3Dsolve’s platforms – especially 3Dnerve.

3Dwave: SOBT
Scenario-based Simulation Learning

Watch the video

3Dwave was first used on a project for the U.S. Navy Submarine School – Submarine On Board Training (SOBT). The project was created to specifically replace an existing and outdated video-based training system with a series of interactive and easily updated scenario-based simulations.
The topic of the training is the Force Protection Anti-Terrorism safety and security procedures at ports involving docked nuclear submarines.

3Dwave: CEH/SC
Scenario-based Simulation Learning

Watch the video

The next project to utilize the strengths of 3Dwave was developed for the U.S. Army Maneuver Support Center (MANSCEN) at Fort Leonard Wood.
The Level 4 Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) courseware covers the topics of:

  • Countermine Explosives Hazard Course (CEH), and the
  • Improvised Explosive Device (IED) & Unexploded

Ordinance (UXO) Search Courses (SC)
Theses courses were developed for both stand-alone and web-based application, to be accessible at any time from any location with or without Internet connectivity. Their delivery is based upon Macromedia Shockwave. Progress and results are tracked, stored, and transmitted in accordance with SCORM 1.2 and Aspen 1.1 Learning Management Systems (LMS).
